Our Foundation
The Hunter J. Nordlof Be Kind Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established to honor the memory of our only son, Hunter James Nordlof, whose life was tragically lost to suicide on February 16, 2017. Our focus was and is to turn our collective grief into a powerful force for good. Our foundation is rooted in a deep commitment to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Through public education and advocacy, we aim to illuminate the importance of mental wellness, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues, and provide resources that can save lives.
At the core of our work is a simple yet profound belief: kindness has the power to heal. We are dedicated to fostering compassion within our communities, encouraging acts of kindness that can uplift and inspire. Whether through educational programs, community outreach, or awareness campaigns, the Hunter J. Nordlof BE KIND Foundation strives to create a world where every individual feels seen, valued, and supported.
By spreading awareness and promoting kindness, we hope to prevent future tragedies and ensure that no one faces their struggles alone. Together, we can make a difference – one act of kindness at a time!
